Exciting News: Music for Loulan Beauty Now Live!
I thought you guys might like to hear the rest of the songs I’ve been working on! These two tracks actually use lyrics from Loulan Beauty, the book I’m writing.
With the help of some amazing new technology, I was able to bring my lyrics to life! So when the book is ready, you’ll be able to listen to the music alongside the story too.
I’m already thinking I need to create more songs—it’s been so much fun! I am not finished yet with the book so I will have time to write more haha. I have for example a Royal Banquet scene that would be fitting.
Since my main character is a half-fairy musician, having music feels like the perfect touch to really capture her magical world.
The first song, for those of you that missed it, it’s an introduction to the mysterious and ancient world of Tang Dynasty in Ancient China where the world building takes place. Listen to it here above, Hearts As One Loulan Beauty
The second song, Four Seasons of Lost Lovers, is available to listen too just klick on the video! How do you guys like my symbolic pictures haha? It is so fun to experiment with new technology!
"Four Seasons of Lost Lovers”
(Verse 1)
My heart grows weary, heavy with the season,
As flowers bloom, I feel the swell of longing,
But with the summer rain, autumn starts to fade,
The winter darkness wraps around, pulling me away.
(Chorus)
Oh, the sound of the spring river, my heart overflows,
Spring floods carry me further, deeper into sorrow.
With no place to call home, this ache just won’t cease,
Every inch of you, a flower tree, whispers in the breeze.
(Verse 2)
You leave an empty trail of blossoms on the ground,
Leading to an empty bed where your warmth can’t be found.
Can such loneliness exist in a world so wide?
Just a fragile flower leaf keeping us apart inside.
(Chorus)
Oh, the sound of the spring river, my heart overflows,
Spring floods carry me further, deeper into sorrow.
With no place to call home, this ache just won’t cease,
Every inch of you, a flower tree, whispers in the breeze.
(Bridge)
Gone with the wind are my emotions set free,
Gone with the thunder, where are you, my love, to me?
As rain pours down, my feelings rise and swell,
What’s left is only cold, in this silence, I dwell.
(Chorus)
Oh, the sound of the spring river, my heart overflows,
Spring floods carry me further, deeper into sorrow.
With no place to call home, this ache just won’t cease,
Every inch of you, a flower tree, whispers in the breeze.
(Outro)
My heart grows weary, lost in the seasons’ flow,
With only the scent of you, in the wind’s soft glow.
The third track, Destiny of Fire and Water, can be found here!
Destiny of fire and water
(Verse 1)
As my cry fills my mother’s heart,
In silence, I will leave her, torn apart.
A mother’s life is all it takes,
To sacrifice it all, with every choice I make.
(Chorus)
Bound by earth and deadly desires,
I choose my path, fueled by inner fires.
Whatever life throws, I held on tight,
Now it’s time to let go, to embrace the night.
(Verse 2)
To travel somewhere unfamiliar, I tread,
My choices may haunt me, but I’m not filled with dread.
In the darkness so deep, there’s no escape,
I pray the Creator sees me, gives me strength to reshape.
(Chorus)
Let it be fire, let it be water,
Take my spirit, let it wander.
In this dance of fate and heart,
I choose to play my destined part.
With every note, my soul takes flight,
Guide me through the dark of night.
(Bridge)
For my sins may be many, my choices not always right,
I held on for the sake of our mothers, now I step into the light.
Let it blaze within me, let the flames ignite,
In this dance of fate and heart, I embrace the night.
(Chorus)
Let it be fire, let it be water,
Whatever you choose, my spirit will not falter.
We’ll take it with grace, we’ll heed your call,
Your servants are here, ready to give our all.
(Outro)
In the ashes of my choices, I will rise anew,
A phoenix from the flames, reborn, I’ll break through.
So hear my song, my final plea,
In this dance of life and death, I will follow you.
I had no idea how enjoyable it would be to write lyrics, but now I’m hooked. It seems I discovered a hidden talent for flipping my poems into songs —that’s definitely so my style! Would you like to be able to listen to more songs from the book later if i write more? It is a little different book concept but I am all in for it!
