A Taste of Turkey: Wholesome Breakfast Ideas to Kickstart Your Day
Hello, everyone! How have you all been?
I thought I’d share what’s on the breakfast table today! If you’re not familiar with Turkish cuisine, I highly recommend you give it a try. It’s full of hearty, wholesome dishes that are rich in flavor and offer great nutritional value—plus, it’s a beautiful reflection of Turkish culture.
This morning, we made some caramelized onions, letting them melt slowly with a pinch of salt and a little sugar. You can choose real butter or olive oil!
Once they’re perfect, crack in some organic eggs to cook through!
Then, serve with a spread of olives, fresh tomato and cucumber, feta cheese, warm bread, kaymak, and honey. And of course, don’t forget the Turkish black tea! The possibilities are endless.
One of the best things about a Turkish breakfast is that you don’t have to stick to the same cereal or yogurt every day. It’s all about variety, fresh ingredients, and the experience of sharing a meal with loved ones.
Later when I have time, I’ll be sharing a recipe for meatbone marrow soup, as my kids and I are battling another round of sickness (the rainy season is in full swing, and it feels a bit like autumn!).
Take care, everyone! And don’t forget to check out my Musical Moonlight Obsessions dropping every Friday!
Wishing you all a beautiful day!
